Specifically, he defined the objectives, handled expert recruitment and coordination, seamless logistics, and compliance requirements. Also, he ensured effective moderation to encourage collaborative discussions, supplemented by pre-meeting surveys and post-meeting evaluations. His efforts emphasize the importance of multidisciplinary advisory boards in shaping market access strategies and as crucial tools for strategic planning and market success.

As of January 12, 2025, new oncology drugs and ATMPs seeking EMA authorization must undergo the EU-Joint Clinical Assessment (JCA). This is a crucial part of the new EU HTAR, which aims to harmonize the clinical assessment of medicines across the EU. This will significantly impact P&R in Europe, creating new challenges & opportunities. Mairead and Lora organized and led 2 expert-led informative events in January 2025 to mark the date of the EU HTA regulation’s application. The purpose of which was to deepen GVAP/EU MAP's understanding of the EU HTA Regulation and its implications. The titles of these ‘Lunch and Learn’ sessions were 'EU HTA: Essential Insights on the EU JCA You Can't Afford to Miss! and EU HTA: Essential Insights on JCA You Can't Afford to Miss!'
